The success of last years recycling programme was the catalyst for incorporating a recycling programme into the event for 2005. The study was commissioned by the Royal Parks Agency (RPA) in January 2001 and was undertaken by Land Use Consultants. This report was produced by traffic consultants Peter Brett Associates, using traffic counts from the surrounding local councils, Transport for London and from within Richmond Park itself. Download: Final Report [1020kb] back to top Royal Parks Agency - Kensington Gardens Shared Use Trial - Final Report Andrew D Pearce, Managing Consultant - WS Atkins Consultants Ltd Two of the main pedestrian paths within Kensington Gardens have been converted on a trial basis to pedestrian/cycle shared use. These are unsegregated and rollerblading is also allowed. The conversion is indicated by signs and painted on symbols. This report details the results of three user surveys taken shortly before the scheme implementation date of spring 2001, shortly after and 1 year after with the intention of highlighting and quantifying any concerns over the shared use operation.
