Close Loop London Held in an architect designed marquee, the Frieze Art Fair, in its third year, was able to demonstrate the workings and viability of a sustainable waste management programme, and helped demonstrate the sustainability objectives of The Royal Parks. The success of last years recycling programme was the catalyst for incorporating a recycling programme into the event for 2005. Download:

Parks Agency - Kensington Gardens Shared Use Trial - Final Report
Andrew D Pearce, Managing Consultant - WS Atkins Consultants Ltd Two of the main pedestrian paths within Kensington Gardens have been converted on a trial basis to pedestrian/cycle shared use. These are unsegregated and rollerblading is also allowed. The conversion is indicated by signs and painted on symbols. This report details the results of three user surveys taken shortly before the scheme implementation date of spring 2001, shortly after and 1 year after with the intention of highlighting and quantifying any concerns over the shared use operation.
