People wish to film in the parks for a variety of applications. If you would like to film, take photos or record audio you must obtain permission to do so. News permits are also required for any media outlet wishing to film on Royal Parks grounds.
If you have sent a request to film@royalparks.gsi.gov.uk it will be dealt with, please do not forward additional copies of your application to alternate addresses.

Requests that do not provide a minimum of 5 working days notice will not be considered.
Filming guidelines, rates and an application form for filming and stills in the parks can be found in the links at the bottom of this page. Once you have read all relevant information, please forward your application or enquiry to the relevant filming contact as detailed on the bottom of the form.
For our purposes, the term 'filming' refers to all forms of moving image production. This includes feature films, television, commercials, music videos, drama documentaries, corporate productions, video and interactive media.
The term 'photography' refers to all forms of still, digital and photo imaging. This includes advertising, editorial, fashion and corporate photography.
News permits are issued to the media for the specific purpose of covering breaking news relating to the Parks.
Licences are issued to individuals and the media for the purpose of taking photos or recording anything in the Royal Parks agreed to by Park Management.
Both news permits and licences are subject to strict conditions and holders must comply with The Royal Parks Regulations 2004 and Other Open Spaces Regulations 1997.
The Royal Parks welcomes filming in the parks that is consistent with one or more of the following aims:
All requests to film will be assessed according to these aims along with existing scheduled events, planned maintenance work, potential security risks, ceremonial activities and political sensitivities.
