Changes to Park Regulations

Margaret Hodge, Minister of State for Culture and Tourism has now approved a number of changes to the park regulations including:

  • Introducing car parking charges in Richmond Park and Bushy Park;
  • Lowering the speed limit in Bushy Park and Greenwich Park from 30mph to 20mph;
  • Allowing Private Hire Vehicles into the Parks.

The decision follows a public consultation held in 2009. Subject to parliamentary approval, the changes are expected to come into force in Spring 2010.
