Park Facilities

Hyde Park has a wide range of facilities. There are cafes and restaurants offering everything from ice creams and sandwiches to three course meals. There is a children's playground and the Lookout, a former police observation point which is now an education centre where children learn about nature and wildlife. The Park also has toilets, including facilities for disabled people.

Boating in Hyde Park
Hyde Park has a fleet of rowing and pedal boats which operate on the famous Serpentine and the UK�s first Solarshuttle, a magnificent vessel which glides silently across the lake powered only by the sun. The Solarshuttle carries up to 40 passengers and the pedal and row boats hold up to 6 persons each.

Open: The Boating Lake is open from Easter until October 31. Times are from 10.00am until sundown which is around 4.00pm in the winter and 8.00pm in the summer. Please ring on the day if you need more specific times.

Prices (Per Person)
    Adults: £9 1hr / £7 ½hr
    Child (under 15): £3 1hr / £2 ½hr
    Family (2 adults and 2 children): £22 1hr / £17 ½hr

PLEASE NOTE:

Children under the age of 12 months are not permitted on the hire boats but are permitted on the Solarshuttle.
Dogs are not permitted on the hire boats but may go on the Solarshuttle subject to passenger loading.
Children aged under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

Deck Chairs
Semnat & Associates (trading as Parkdeckchairs) operates the deck chair service in all relevant Royal Parks.
Availability: Deck chairs are available from March to October during daylight hours, weather permitting.

The Serpentine Bar and Kitchen (formerly the Dell)
Location: Eastern side of the Serpentine
The Serpentine Bar and Kitchen serves a wide variety of tasty hot meals and snacks, freshly prepared sandwiches and salads, a daily selection of cakes and puddings from the bakery and hot and cold drinks from the bar.

Lido Cafe

The newly refurbished The Lido Café Bar is now open. With stunning views along The Serpentine and a large alfresco dining area, The Lido is a great place to enjoy great food and watch the world go by.

The Lido Café Bar is licensed for alcohol. Facilities include toilets, baby change, high chairs, newspapers, and outdoor seating.

Located in the Tennis and Sports Centre, the café offers welcome refreshments for players and spectators alike. There are toilets, and a garden with seating.
