Mammals

Fox As well as deer, a range of other mammals lives in the park, though they may not be as obvious. These include Fox, Rabbit, Shrew, Mice and Vole. Unfortunately the Brown Hare, which was once common in the Park, has vanished as a consequence of increased disturbance. The Park's diverse landscape, abundant insects and plentiful tree roost sites are good habitat for bats. There are recent records of at least nine species including all 3 species of Pipistrelle, Noctule, Serotine, Brown Long-eared and Daubenton's bats.
