Editor's notes:
Last year, participation in London in RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch rose to an all-time high of 17,000. This year, for the first time, the results in London will be broken down borough by borough, so we can all see which area of the city supports the most numbers of blue tits, house sparrows and robins, amongst others.

For more information about Wildlife for All's activities or the Big Garden Birdwatch please email the Wildlife for All team on wildlifeforall@royalparks.gsi.gov.uk or phone 020 7935 7430. Alternatively, log on to www.rspb.org.uk/birdwatch. All you need to do is pick an hour to watch in your garden or park and count the numbers of each type of bird that you see. Your results can also be input online.

Wildlife for All is a partnership project between the Royal Parks and RSPB funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund for three years. Its aims are to bring a wide variety of people and communities across London closer to their local wildlife through the establishment in the Royal Parks of an exciting and innovative activities programme, which include wildlife watch points, an education programme and mobile information unit.
