Gruesome Ghost Stories in Green Park

Grisly tales of ghouls, ghosts and vampires will be told inside a Yurt in Green Park on Halloween and All Souls' Sunday. This event, organised by The Royal Parks and Spoken Ink, will feature ghost stories by a variety of writers including Angela Carter and Mick Jackson.

The Yurt tent has been specially designed for the occasion. Guests will sit on sheep skin rugs, be warmed by a cosy stove and sip on hot Bloody Marys while listening to stories and music. Performances will take place on 31 October and 1 November at 4pm and 6.30pm. Tickets include a free Bloody Mary and cost £7 when bought through www.royalparks.org.uk/spokenink.

Alistair Raphael, Arts and Events Manager, The Royal Parks said: "London is full of hidden surprises and Green Park, after dusk in a Siberian yurt on All Hallows' Eve won't fail to impress. The Royal Parks are great places to visit all year round and we hope that people will have fun listening to ghost tales in this atmospheric setting!"

Suzanne Andrade, Performer, 1927 (theatre company) said: "What better way to spend a cold winters' evening than through listening to tales of horror in a cosy tent, while the wind howls and the trees creek outside in the darkness of Green Park. This is the way theatres are meant to be - just don't visit this one alone."
