FUSE-ARTS.ORG Goes Live
Designed with young people to promote the first free
arts festival of its kind in London
The FUSE website www.fuse-arts.org.uk, promoting the first free arts festival of its kind in London, is now live. Designed with and for young people, FUSE has been organised by The Royal Parks and will take place in Kensington Gardens on 25 July from midday to 7pm.
The festival, aimed at 13 to 21 year-olds, brings together 35 of the very best arts organisations from across the capital, including The Royal Ballet and the V&A. Shaped by feedback from young people, a wide range of participatory activities including dance, music, theatre, film, photography and visual arts will be on offer.
Adam Farrar, Head of Events for The Royal Parks said: "FUSE is the first free arts festival of its kind in London and we hope that it will inspire lots of young people to get creative and try new things. The Royal Parks has worked closely with young people every step of the way to design this fantastic new event, including the FUSE website. We've put a lot of work into organising FUSE and we're really excited to host it in Kensington Gardens."
Sharn Baig-Brown, aged 18, who contributed to the development of FUSE, said: "I have really enjoyed working alongside other young people and The Royal Parks to help organise FUSE. We have made some major decisions about this event, such as the name, the images used on the publicity material and the different acts performing on the day. I liked participating in this because it made me feel important and gave me the chance to voice my ideas."
