Westminster and Camden Council grants The Royal Parks events licenses
The Royal Parks
The Royal Parks is pleased to announce that both Westminster City and Camden Council have granted premises licenses for Kensington Gardens, Hyde Park, St James's Park, The Green Park and The Regent's Park.
This is the first time in 500 years the Royal Parks has had to apply for licenses to hold events.
Contrary to press reports, The Royal Parks has not changed its policy or intention over the number of events to be staged in the parks.
The Royal Parks recognises the need to listen to the views and address the diverse needs of all visitors - local, regional, national and international.
We also consider the potential impact of any event within the context of our need to protect the park environment and wildlife.
Mark Camley, Chief Executive of The Royal Parks said:
"We are delighted that both Camden and Westminster Councils have granted us licenses for events in our Parks. We have listened to the concerns of local residents and are happy with the conditions set within the license granted."
