Hyde Park Seeking New Events

The Royal Parks is seeking expressions of interest from parties for large-scale public events in Hyde Park, London, between 2009 and 2011.

Adam Farrar, Head of Events at The Royal Parks, said:

"We are keen to attract proposals from people who have not previously held events in Hyde Park as well as from those who have. We will be considering all approaches with a view to letting a small number of three-year contracts."

Hyde Park, London, has been the venue for many iconic events in its history. In recent years it has hosted commercial events such as BBC Proms In The Park, O2 Wireless Festival, Hyde Park Calling, and charity events such as the Playtex Moonwalk and Hydroactive Womens Challenge. All of these events are expected to take place again in 2008. This contract award represents a change of strategy for The Royal Parks. Whereas events have previously been approved on an ad-hoc annual basis the programme will now be set three years ahead.

Interested parties can download the pre-qualification questionnaire (PQQ) and supporting information from The Royal Parks website at: http://www.royalparks.org.uk/business/events.cfm
