NEW CHRISTMAS MARKET AT INN THE PARK

Stuck as to where to go to get the best home-grown specialist produce this Christmas? Championing the best of British, Oliver Peyton is hosting a festive food market at Inn the Park. Located in the stunning lakeside surroundings of St James' Park, the market will take place on Saturday 19th December and will showcase an abundance of the finest, locally grown produce Britain has to offer. Often produced in limited quantities and not readily available at farmers' markets, this is a rare opportunity to buy some of the best British wares, including premium free-range meat and poultry, mushrooms, hand cured charcuterie, sensational cakes and tender market vegetables.

Throughout the day the restaurant will also be serving a festive menu using produce from the market. Showcasing head chef Gillan Kingstree's culinary expertise, take in the winter wonderland views from the restaurant whilst indulging in traditional Christmas dishes such as roast Sussex ham covered in East London honey; Clayton Farm organic Bronze roast turkey wrapped in bacon and potato dumplings with Secretts Farm purple sprouting broccoli and Mrs Tee's New Forest mushrooms. To help recreate the dishes at home on the 25th, diners will be presented with recipe cards, and the head chef and growers are on hand all day to answer any Christmas foodie question.

With a superb selection of unique and inspiring ingredients, Inn the Park's market has taken the hard work out of Christmas and is an ideal one-stop-shop for gourmands to source everything for an outstanding yuletide dinner with all the trimmings.

Here's a taster of just some of the delicious products available:

Bringing a taste of the countryside to your front door...
Small family owned and run Clayton Organic Farm will be selling locally reared, organic free range whole Bronze turkey and ham, making life easier for city dwellers to find the perfect produce. Not previously available in London until this year, you don't need to fret about the quality of your turkey, all you'll need to do is put it in the oven!

Tender vegetables from Surrey...
Secrett's Farm, a third generation family business set in the heart of the Surrey countryside has been associated with excellence in horticulture since 1908. Specialising in tender market garden produce, the growers will be offering an extensive range of seasonal herbs, fruit, vegetables and salads.

Simply the best beef...
Meat lovers will love the award-winning, unusual flavoured salami - including coriander and cumin and orange and ginger - and joints of meat from Deli Farm in Cornwall. As a unique extra, Inn The Park will be selling, for the first time, home cured delicately flavoured grass-reared White Park beef of Bickleigh Farm and Old Spot pork.

Mushrooms for those in the know...
Mrs Brigitte Tees is the world's foremost authority on edible wild mushrooms, with over 35 years experience. Wild mushrooms, harvested by hand from the New Forest by an experienced team of local pickers, will be available from Mrs Tees herself.

A cake lover's dream...
Peyton and Byrne, the quintessentially English bakery, will prove irresistible to anyone with a sweet tooth. Showcasing an assortment of Christmas puddings in beautifully packaged candy coloured boxes tied with contrasting ribbon, and decidedly delicious holiday hampers, it's ideal for those looking for Christmas cheats and last minute treats.

So whether buying for Christmas lunch for many, or simply shopping for yourself, the market is a one stop shopping experience for urban foodies who want the very best this Christmas.
