  • 2 Lengths of string, approx. 35cm

Ideas for decorating your Tin Can Wind Chime

  • Selection of beads, can be glass, plastic, wooden or mixture of non-precious gemstones
  • Glitter Pens
  • Glitter
  • Anything you may have to decorate your wind chime

Directions:

  • Glue felt around the open end of the tin overlapping inside and out (covering sharp edges) and allowing 2cm deep on outside of tin.
  • Make a hole in the centre of the solid end of the tin plus two more holes for string.
  • Thread 60cm piece of styring through centre hole in tin and tie a knot to upside inside the tin to stop string eing pulled through. Now make a loop at the top of the string to hang the tin from.
  • Thread 2nd piece of string through the next hole and make a knot on the outside. Repeat this step with the 2rd piece of string.
  • Select beads. Thread beads onto 3 pieces of string on the inside of the tin. Tie a knot at the end of each piece of string to secure the beads.
  • You can now decorate the tin to the design of your choice.
  • Now you are ready to hang your wind chime in the garden! :-)
