We’re on a mission to enthuse students of all ages about the wonders of the invertebrate world. Together with our learning partners, we have developed a year-long programme of inspirational free sessions taking place across the eight Royal Parks.

Join our mission to discover the incredible hidden world of invertebrates. All sessions are mapped to the National Curriculum and are led by a team of experienced Environmental Educators. Whatever the weather, our educational spaces are practical all year round. These sessions will be focussing on what an invertebrate is, and their form and function.

Sessions

Sessions will cover the following three topics:

Perfect Pollinators

Find out about the role of pollinators in the process of pollination by looking closely at species in the park and by participating in interactive activities.

Dynamic Detritivores

Find out about the role of detritivores in the process of decay by getting hands dirty and looking closely at species in the park. Participate in fun and interactive composting activities.

Fantastic Food Chains

Explore food chains in the park and participate in an interactive activity that will reveal the crucial roles invertebrates play in the food chain.

Mission: Invertebrate sessions are completely free, and available for SEND groups, KS1 & 2, KS3 & 4, and 16+. Please note, places are limited to:

  • Non-fee paying schools only
  • One session per school
