Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic the Play in the Parks programme is not currently delivering play sessions. However, we are providing remote play support with inspiration for things to be done at home or in the parks – either alone or as a family. To stay informed please complete our Keep in Touch enquiry form.

Calling all local children!

If you are aged between 5-15 and live locally, we want to hear your views on play, including what you do for fun and what activities we should offer.

Each participant will receive a gift card for a personalised treasure trail to do in your local area:

Follow a self-guided TREASURE TRAIL through the winding backstreets and hidden corners of villages, towns and cities around the UK.

Crack the clues along the route to unlock incredible stories from the past and solve the mystery at the end.

Before you know it, you’ve walked a couple of miles, taken in the highlights, put your heads together as a family and returned home with a massive smile on your face!

For more information visit treasuretrails.co.uk

Our first meeting will be on Friday 22 January at 4pm. To register your interest email play@royalparks.org with your name, age and postcode.

Competition time!

Win a £20 voucher for the Pavilion Café.

When was the last time you climbed to the top of Observatory Hill in Greenwich Park? This hill has been the setting for many adventures over hundreds of years, from snow sledging and marriage proposals, to the simple pleasures of rolling down the hill with wild abandon. We want to hear about local children’s adventures from the top of the world (or London at least).

So why not climb up this hill (or any hill in Greenwich Park) and let us know about it – maybe in a picture, a poem or a story.
Children, or their parent/guardian can email their entry to play@royalparks.org.uk by the 22 February. Please include the child's name, age and postcode.
Our favourite entries will be included in the next Play Newsletter and posted on The Royal Parks website. The winner will receive a £20 voucher to enjoy some refreshments at Pavilion Café on their next adventure.
