Current Volunteering Opportunities
We are slowly opening up our opportunities again and will be taking on new volunteers where opportunities have space to do so. Please keep an eye on this page for open opportunities. If there are no opportunities open that suit you at the moment, please do keep checking as we will continue to add new ones.
Our groups meet regularly, or on a seasonal basis and we also offer one-off days throughout the year and help with everything from planting hedges and spring bulbs, clearing woodlands and managing meadows, welcoming visitors and educating children, surveying wildlife and discovering buried history. We hope that you can find something for you!
Learning & Engagement
Our learning and engagement volunteers inspire thousands of visitors to our parks every year. They support school groups and help to lead walks, talks and other engagement activities.
- Learning (Hyde Park)
- Royal Parks Nature Roadshow (All parks)
- Volunteer Rangers (Multiple parks)
- Walks Leader (Multiple parks)
Horticulture & Growing
We are always looking for an extra pair of hands to help us care for our gardens and allotments. Tasks are varied but may include planting, weeding, watering and generally keeping the site in tip top condition!
Wildlife & Conservation
Volunteers are vital in surveying the wide range of wildlife that call The Royal Parks home. We also rely on the support of volunteers to help manage habitats for conservation, such as maintaining woodland and planting wildflower meadows.
With a history spanning over 500 years the parks, and the monuments within them, are an important part of London’s heritage. Volunteering opportunities may include research projects or leading walks and talks.
- No opportunities at present
We offer occasional opportunities across all our parks throughout the year. This could be anything from planting bulbs for early pollinators, raking meadows or digging for historical artefacts.
