What: A drop-in practical volunteer group carrying out a range of habitat management and improvement tasks. At the moment we are based on Duck Island in St. James's Park, a tranquil island that is closed to the public and a refuge for many of the park's waterfowl. We are working to clear and prepare the island before establishing new areas with greater value to wildlife such as a meadow area and native hedgerow.

When: Sessions run on the third Wednesday of the month, 10am-2pm. Volunteers are welcome to join as many or as few sessions as they would like, with no long term commitment.

Who: Anyone who enjoys working outdoors and is passionate about conservation.

How: Have a read of the role description and sign up via the Volunteer Hub.
