The Role

Thank you for your interest in applying for the Greenwich Park Volunteer Ranger role. First trialled on site in 2019, we are now very excited to expand the service in the hopes of further enhancing the experience of Greenwich Park’s many visitors whilst it undergoes some historic changes.

The opportunity is highly competitive and due to our Volunteer Rangers being key representatives of The Royal Parks we have a strict mark scheme and application process. We want to know why you want to join this opportunity at Greenwich Park, and what experiences and skills you believe you can bring to the service. You have up to 150 words for each question.

What attracted you to this role of Volunteer Ranger, and what do you hope to gain from the opportunity?

Please tell us about any experiences, skill and interests you have which are relevant to the role and make you a good fit to join the Volunteer Ranger service.

The aim of the service is to inspire the public through education and engagement; please describe a time when you have shared information or enthusiasm about a subject with someone with less knowledge than yourself.

From time-to-time Volunteer Rangers encounter challenging or uncomfortable conversations in the parks; please describe a time when you have had to deal with a difficult situation, and how you resolved it.
