Sessions for your school hall

The Hidden Science of Trees

45 minute show

Grab your pupils' attention with a brand new show for Key Stage 2 bringing the amazing science of trees to life. Designed for a large group of children in your school hall, our team will use large-scale demos and mass-participation to get them thinking scientifically about things they've never noticed before. From exploding seeds to flying light balls, they'll never look at trees the same way again!

This show can accommodate as many Key Stage 2 children as will comfortably fit in your hall. The running time can be reduced to 30 minutes if this better suits your timetable.

Grow Your Classroom

60 minute workshop

Bring the wonder of Hyde Park right into your classroom with this informative hands-on workshop for up to 32 students. Our expert Learning staff will spend the day at your school, leading the “Grow Your Classroom” session for your Key Stage 2 students.

Your children will explore a selection of plants using all their senses, and discover what plants need to survive. They’ll take a closer look at the parts of a plant and their functions using microscopes, then plant an edible indoor garden suitable for all times of year to grow (and eat!) in your classroom - a learning resource that will inspire fascination long after the visit. All students will also plant a seed to take home with them.
