The Royal Parks is urging visitors to Bushy and Richmond Parks to be extra vigilant and keep a minimum distance of 50 metres away during the annual deer rut.

The Royal Parks is reminding visitors to Richmond and Bushy Parks that deer are wild and unpredictable animals, following a resurgence of deer feeding by the public post lockdown.
Deer birthing season is officially underway in Bushy and Richmond Parks. From the 18 May until the 6 July 2020, dogs must be on leads when being walked in these parks. Please plan your route in advance to avoid deer birthing areas.
Ahead of Storm Dennis, there are currently no plans to close any of London’s eight Royal Parks this weekend, but we continue to monitor the forecast closely.
Safety checks will be carried out at first light (on Monday 10 February) and any debris, including twigs, branches and felled trees, from Storm Ciara will be cleared from roads and pedestrian routes.
