Five benches shaped as open books, decorated by professional illustrators and local artists, have appeared in Greenwich Park for the public to enjoy.
They are part of Books about Town, a project that gives the public a unique opportunity to explore the capital's literary connections, to enjoy art from some of the country's top artists and to celebrate reading for enjoyment.
Five of the benches on the Greenwich Trail are in the park, they are:
- On the Origin of Species
- The Jungle Book
- Elmer the Elephant
- The Time Machine
- We're Going on a Bear Hunt
