Community is at the heart of Greenwich Park Revealed
Learning and leisure
The Royal Park's flagship new project, Greenwich Park Revealed will offer an exciting programme of free community events including art, theatre, music, dance, singing, cinema and wellbeing activities.
It will also offer extensive learning opportunities for all ages including:
- Paid training roles – Horticulture Pre-apprenticeships, Trainee Park Managers and Student Architects
- Subsidised school sessions and free Family Activity Days
- Student placements and Career Taster Days
- Free guided walks and talks
The project will enable us to expand our volunteer opportunities substantially. Volunteers allow the Royal Parks to deliver so much more than staff alone and offer opportunities to learn, connect or simply “give something back”. All volunteers will be fully trained and supported. This year we will be recruiting for the following volunteer roles:
- Butterfly surveyors
- History Researchers
- Guided Walks Leaders
- Mobility Buggy Drivers
- Horticulture Volunteers
- Health Walk Leaders
- Community Archaeology volunteers
- Visitor Counters
- Events Assistants
- Practical Habitat volunteers
New volunteering opportunities at Greenwich Park will be announced on our Current Opportunities page as they arise.
Access and interpretation
Over the next four years, Greenwich Park Revealed will improve access in the park with a free mobility buggy service and improved signposting. It will also reveal the park’s “hidden histories” through new accessible interpretation activities such as audio trails, guided walks, cultural events and signage.
