Swim Serpentine

Published Wednesday 13 September 2017

Swim Serpentine is a one-day open water swimming festival, which will be held in the Serpentine, Hyde Park, on Saturday 16 September 2017 from 9:00am until 6:00pm.

Created and organised by London Marathon Events, the 2017 event will again be staged in and around the beautiful Serpentine Lake in Hyde Park, the venue for the open water swimming competition at the London 2012 Olympic Games.

The Cockpit area of the park will be accommodating a small events village with swim safety related events taking place at the Lido beach head.

To safely facilitate the event;

  • Triangle car park will be partially closed on Thursday 14 September and fully closed on Friday 15 September until approximately 1:00pm on Sunday 17 September.
  • All park roads will remain open on Saturday 16 September including North Carriage Drive which will also be accommodating a small amount of event vehicle parking.

Cycle and pedestrian diversion routes around Serpentine Road and The Cockpit will be put in place from Thursday 14 September until Sunday 17 September (inclusive).
