In 2008 we created the first half marathon in central London. Now a multi-award winning event, the Royal Parks Half Marathon presented by Royal Bank of Canada, delivered in partnership with Limelight Sports, has become a ‘must do’ race for many runners.
The stunning 13.1 mile route takes in the capital’s world-famous landmarks on closed roads, such as Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square and Whitehall. It also passes through four of London’s eight Royal Parks – Hyde Park, The Green Park, St James’s Park and Kensington Gardens.
The Royal Parks Half is now a major annual fundraising event, raising sustainable funds to support London’s eight Royal Parks, whilst enabling charities of all sizes to be involved in a major challenge event. In the decade since we began, runners from around the world have raised a staggering £41 million for nearly 1,000 UK charities.
