In 2008 we created the first half marathon in central London. Now a multi-award winning event, the Royal Parks Half Marathon Presented by Royal Bank of Canada, delivered in partnership with Limelight Sports, has become a ‘must do’ race for many runners.
The stunning 13.1 mile route takes in the capital’s world-famous landmarks on closed roads, such as Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square and Whitehall. It also passes through four of London’s eight Royal Parks – Hyde Park, The Green Park, St James’s Park and Kensington Gardens.
The Royal Parks Half is now a major annual fundraising event, raising sustainable funds to support London’s eight Royal Parks, whilst enabling charities of all sizes to be involved in a major challenge event. In the decade since we began, runners from around the world have raised a staggering £30million for more than 750 UK charities . In 2017, we’re thrilled to be celebrating the 10th birthday of the race.

You can still be part of the Royal Parks Half Marathon this year! Volunteer to cheer at our Team Squirrel Cheer Points on race day and help create a great atmosphere.
