Discovery Day - Hedgehog Heroes

There has been a worrying nationwide decline in hedgehog numbers in the last 25 years. Join us to discover more about the nation’s favourite species!

Drop in any time between 11am and 3pm for a fun packed day of free and exciting activities:

  • Try out some of the scientific equipment we use to survey hedgehogs as we study them in the Royal Parks.
  • Craft a hedgehog from a paper plate or colour your own hedgehog picture to take home.
  • Become a hedgehog architect and design a hedgehog friendly habitat, then make your own clay hedgehog to live in it (£2 suggested donation).
  • Follow our discovery trail, uncovering prickly facts about our spiny friends.
  • Discover what you can do to help hedgehogs in your garden.

Everyone is welcome (our grounds are fully accessible) but we do ask for no more than 3 children per adult and can only admit assistance dogs. Booking is not necessary - feel free to just drop in!
