Walkies in the Paradise Gardens [Sold Out]

  • Event details

  • Saturday 24th Oct 2015

    11am - 4pm

    Hyde Park; Kensington Gardens

Join Jonathan Grun, journalist and City of Westminster Guide Lecturer for a 1 hour guided walk exploring Hyde Park's dark history.

Uncover the rich history of sites like the Tyburn gallows, where thousands of people were executed, and discover who was imprisoned in the cells of the Old Police House.

You will have an exclusive tour of Hyde Park's very own pet cemetery dating back to the 1880s. This area rarely open to the public contains the remains of over 300 animals, many in graves marked by tiny headstones and is a touching reminder of the special relationship that can exist between animals and humans.
