The Kensington Gardens team were on hand at Palace Gate recently for a couple of hours to answer questions and chat to park visitors.
Andrew Williams, Park Manager said:
"We had a mix of locals and tourists stop by and we really enjoyed chatting to them and were thrilled to receive compliments on how nice the gardens are looking as a whole.
"The continued improvements to the South Flower Walk and its link to the Albert Memorial seems to have gone down very well and we were able to show our plans for the North Flower Walk.
"People were interested in identifying certain plants and trees and we were also asked about how to adopt a tree (visit our charity, the Royal Parks Foundation, for more details)
"We had a request to use the Round Pond for model boating; there is an organisation that have permission to use the pond for this purpose and they can be contacted at http://www.mysa.org.uk/
"We also got useful feedback on areas that people were less happy with including a few issues with litter that we will pass to our grounds maintenance team; cyclists not staying on designated paths; and a suggestion that we should discourage people from feeding squirrels.
"Thank you to everyone that came along, we really enjoyed meeting you."
