This one-day course will help you get to grips with the most common and familiar British birds on a relaxed early spring walk around The Regent’s Park.

Having been managed for the benefit of wildlife for over 35 years there are now a variety of habitats that attract a wide number of species for Central London. We shall explore all of these productive areas thoroughly and the day will incorporate bird identification, bird vocalisations and bird behaviour.

Course costs £30 and includes a copy of the FSC fold out chart: Top 50 Garden Birds.

The course is run by Ed Hutchings, journalist and wildlife tour guide who specialises in birds. He worked briefly for the RSPB and the BTO before his present career. He writes regularly for BBC Wildlife, Birdwatch, Bird Watching and Nature’s Home amongst others, whilst guiding for Greenwings Wildlife Holidays and The Travelling Naturalist. He has travelled extensively worldwide as a result. Ed has a relaxed and informal style to his guiding and strives to ensure that all guests receive his undivided attention.

For further information on the course or to book your place use the Field Studies Council web site. If you are unable to find the information you need,  contact the office on 01306 734 501. Places are limited, book early to avoid disappointment.
