Details of upcoming road closures this weekend which will be in place for the following events: GOSH Race for the Kids (Saturday 7 October 2017) and The Royal Parks Half Marathon (Sunday 8 October 2017).

Saturday 7 October

  • The GOSH Race for the Kids is a family friendly 5k, taking place on pathways in Hyde Park, starting on South Carriage Drive.
  • South Carriage Drive will be closed all day between Prince of Wales Gate and Queen Mothers Gates to accommodate the start of the GOSH Race for the Kids and to aid the remainder of the build for the Half Marathon on the Old Football Pitches. West Carriage Drive will remain open as will North Carriage Drive eastbound.

Please note that due to the Royal Parks Half Marathon on Sunday 8 October in Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens and St James’s Park, the following road closures will be in place:

Sunday 8 October

  • All Hyde Park roads and cycle paths will be closed between 00.00hrs and 15.00hrs approx, except South Carriage Drive which will remain closed as usual on Sunday.
  • All St James’s Park and Green Park roads will be closed from 05:00hrs – 12.00hrs
  • Birdcage Walk, Spur Road, Link Road, Horse Guards Road and The Mall from the Duke of York Steps to Admiralty Arch will reopen at 13.00hrs approx. The Mall and Constitution Hill will remain closed as usual on Sunday until dusk.
