Free beginners bird watching tour in Richmond Park with The Urban Birder
Sunday 10th Jul 2022
10am - 11:30am
On Sunday, 10 July, join David Lindo on a bird watching tour around Richmond Park. The tours are aimed at beginners and binoculars will be provided, please note that the starting point will be at the Friends Information Kiosk just outside the gates to Pembroke Lodge in Richmond Park.
Lindo, who grew up in Wembley has been bird watching since he was five years old. Now he’s an author, TV Naturalist and travels the globe spreading the urban birding word. He says, “Birding is not just for those who live in the countryside as there is an amazing array of birds to be found in the capital. All you need to do is look up.”
The bird watching tours are part of our ongoing mission to encourage visitors to #KeepWildifeWild in a bid to help nature thrive. The initiative encourages visitors to observe wildlife in its natural habitat, rather than touching or feeding animals.
The birdwatching sessions will be delivered as part of our adult and family learning programme for our Help Nature Thrive initiative. All of Help Nature Thrives activities are free to attend thanks to the support of players of People’s Postcode Lottery.
