There will be a number of road and car park closures around Hyde Park during this year's Swim Serpentine event.

Created and organised by London Marathon Events, the 2019 event will again be staged in and around the beautiful Serpentine Lake in Hyde Park, the venue for the open water swimming competition at the London 2012 Olympic Games. The event will take place in the Serpentine, Hyde Park, on Saturday 21 September 2019 from 8:30am until 6:00pm.

In order to safely facilitate the event;

  • Triangle car park will be fully closed on Friday 20 September until approximately 12:00pm on Sunday 22 September.
  • All park roads will remain open on Saturday 21 September excluding North Carriage Drive which will be accommodating a small amount of event vehicle parking but closed to the public.
  • Cycle and pedestrian diversion routes around Serpentine Road and The Cockpit will be in place from Thursday 19 September until Sunday 22 September (inclusive).
