The Royal Parks announces a new five year partnership with AEG Live

The Royal Parks is delighted to announce a five year partnership with AEG Live to produce a new event in Hyde Park from next summer.

AEG Live will work with The Royal Parks to deliver six summer concerts each year, in an exciting new format developed exclusively for Hyde Park. Details of this will be announced in the future.

Chief Executive of The Royal Parks, Linda Lennon CBE, said:

"Hyde Park has a successful track record of hosting popular large music events. The Royal Parks is excited to be working with AEG Live on developing a new innovative and exciting world class summer concert series, which will provide entertainment while minimising the impact on the park and the local community."

The partnership between The Royal Parks and AEG Live will see the two organisations work closely together to agree the final look and feel for the concerts, as well as which artists will be performing.

The income received by The Royal Parks from the concerts will be used to maintain and manage all eight Royal Parks across London.

Jay Marciano, President & CEO of AEG Europe, said:

"AEG Live is proud to be partnering with The Royal Parks in the creation of an exceptional and ground-breaking new summer festival for London. Utilising AEG's global resources and expertise in delivering similar landmark music festivals, such as the annual Coachella and Stagecoach festivals in California, this event shall set a new standard for the enjoyment of live music at this iconic location."

President, International Touring for AEG Live, Rob Hallett said:

"While Hyde Park has traditionally attracted high calibre artists, our plans for reinvigorating the venue with a fresh and innovative new event already have the artist community very excited. I look forward to bringing the world's premier headlining talent to our pioneering new London festival."
