Catering outlets
Please note that due to current circumstances, our catering outlets may be operating slightly different opening times and a reduced menu offer. Updated opening times for most of our cafes can be found here or please contact the outlet you are planning to visit directly. Telephone numbers are available on the outlet webpages.

Public toilets
We have implemented all necessary measures to protect our visitors’ safety and to provide a safe working environment for our attendants. During periods when the toilets are cleaned, we will temporarily close access to the facilities until cleaning is safely completed. We will keep our toilet provision under constant review.

From Monday 21st September public toilets within The Royal Parks will be open at newly updated times, listed on our updates page.
Please note that we are reintroducing charges for using these facilities from this date.

Parking
The car park in Greenwich Park is now open all week and can be accessed via Blackheath Gates entrance only. Opening hours have also returned to normal.

Due to on-site filming there will be reduced car parking availability on Blackheath Avenue from Monday 26th October to Friday 6th November inclusive.

Please ensure you regularly check our updates page for the very latest information about park closures and access to facilities.

Overlooking the River Thames and home to one of London’s most iconic views, Greenwich Park is an amazing mix of 17th century landscape, stunning gardens and a rich history that dates back to Roman times.

The park’s 183 acres has something for everyone. Stand on the Prime Meridian, the reference point for the rest of the world, and visit The Royal Observatory.

Follow in the footsteps of England’s kings and queens with a walk through Greenwich’s ancient trees. Visit the tranquil flower, herb and orchard gardens then stop for tea at the Pavilion Café.

We are the charity for London's eight amazing Royal Parks

We care for each of London's Royal Parks for everyone now and in the future to explore, value and enjoy.

Covering over 5,000 acres of historic parkland, the parks provide beautiful green spaces right in the heart of the capital where you can escape the hustle and bustle of the city. They're a place for you to relax and unwind, exercise and clear your mind. If it's history and architecture you're after, we have hundreds of buildings, statues and memorials, giving a fascinating insight into London's heritage.

A statement on public memorials

The Royal Parks cares for a large number of statues and memorials which mark historical figures and events. All of these are on public display in our parks and open spaces. We believe that we should provide fair and balanced information about the individuals and events that are being commemorated and set out the context in which the memorials were erected.

Given the understandable concern about memorials, particularly those that are considered to celebrate figures who supported and profited from slavery, we will be undertaking a review of the major memorials in our care. This will include looking at the interpretation and information we provide to ensure that we do not provide a sanitised or one-sided view of history.

Our organisation seeks to support equality, diversity and inclusion in all of its work and continues to do all it can to achieve this.
