Music, Arts & Culture
Following their residency at the historic Brompton Cemetery, performance duo Sonnie Carlebach and Ushara Dilrukshan prepare a new collaborative piece for the London Design Festival.
Landscape, Silence, and Night brings together twelve performers to devise experimental pieces combining sound, movement, and visual work. Responding to ‘A Softer World’, all the rehearsals will be open to the public as the artists flip their design process inside out, exposing the tools and techniques they use to collaborate.
By revealing the means behind their methods, these pieces will curve the hard edge of traditional performance, without losing the mystical atmosphere present in residents' previous performances.
These ‘open-studio’ days at Brompton Cemetery will take place every day during London Design Festival (13 - 21 September), culminating in a final showing on Saturday 20 September.
