** ACCREDITATION FOR THIS YEAR'S TROOPING THE COLOUR NOW OPEN**
Applying for accreditation for Trooping the Colour on Saturday, 13th June 2020 - including Major General's and Colonel's Reviews
Following the success of last year's media arrangements on the Queen Victoria Memorial (QVM) for Trooping the Colour, we will be offering similar positions this year.
Similar to last year, TV broadcasters alongside photographers will be invited to apply for accreditation to access the QVM for Trooping the Colour on Saturday, June 13th.
We are dedicating an area on the QVM (about a third of the memorial facing Canada Gate) for camera crews, but personnel and equipment must be kept to a minimum (one camera and one tripod per crew). The rest of the memorial will be reserved for photographers for views along The Mall and towards Buckingham Palace (see below).
Please be aware media accreditation on the QVM will be for broadcasters and photographers only.
Applications are now being accepted and will close on Tuesday, 19th May, 2019. To apply for media accreditation, photographers and broadcasters must email firstname.lastname@example.org with the following information:
- Photographer or broadcaster?
- Proof of published work
- Confirmation of your appointment to cover the event from the publication/broadcast editor
- Whether you would also like to cover the Major General's Review on May 30th and/or the Colonel's Review on June 6th
Please title your email – 'Trooping the Colour 2020 accreditation'
Applicants will be notified if they have been successful for Trooping the Colour (limited space is available) via email.
Separate confirmation emails will be sent to those wishing to cover the General's Review and/or the Colonel's Review once requests have been processed.
NB. The Royal Parks does not accredit media for Horse Guards Parade Ground during these events. This must be done via the British Army by emailing: email@example.com
