It's been a very busy couple of months for me as I've been helping out on the Hyde Park Fine Turf Team while they do their annual Autumn Maintenance.
I've enjoyed it a lot. The Fine Turf Charge Hand Tony is a proper stickler for detail and my head is buzzing with fine turf facts and figures. This should get me nicely ready for a year's worth of head-munching revision though, as I dive headlong into studying for the RHS.
I'm really very nervous about the RHS exam. I've never been that good at exams, studying and all that, so I hope I can remember everything I have to, especially all the complicated names for plant cells and stuff.
Even though I enjoyed my time in the Fine Turf Team, I'm definitely looking forward to joining back up with the lads on the landscaping team in a couple of weeks. I really miss that kind of work.
They've all been busy restoring the grass after the summer's Olympics events and it sort of feels wrong, all of them out prepping areas for turf and me off somewhere else in the park. Mind you, with all the wet weather we've had, it's been hard work. I reckon they just need me back to sort them all out.
My supervisor says that he's already looking for a project for me for my Level 3 Diploma. I like being in charge of a team so I'm looking forward to that.
Oh yeah, and my supervisor said to mention how great he is. So there you go - job done!
