Transport for London is currently building a section of the East-West Cycle Superhighway route in Hyde Park. As a part of these works, resurfacing works as now planned on South Carriage Drive. From 21 November – 18 December there will be closures in both directions as these works cannot be done whilst the carriageway is being used.
Diversion advice for park visitors:
Pedestrians - Footways within the Park will be open as normal, although some short-term closures may be needed. In these instances, diversion routes will be clearly signed so please follow the signage and take extra care during the works.
Cyclists - Please use Rotten Row, taking extra care at the Aplsey Gate crossing area with high numbers of pedestrians attending Winter Wonderland using this park entrance also.
Vehicles - Diversion routes will be clearly signed.

Note: Further resurfacing works will be needed in 2017 to complete South Carriage Drive, with dates to be confirmed early in the New Year.
