McBusted to headline Sunday 6 July

Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park: 4 - 13 July 2014

9 December 2013 - Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park, AEG Live and The Royal Parks' 10-day Summer extravaganza in London is back and getting set for 2014 with an enviable line up of artists in July next year. Newly formed Pop supergroup, McBusted will headline Sunday 6th July with Special Guest the Backstreet Boys, along with many more exciting artists across four stages - yet to be announced - for what will undoubtedly be another scorching summer of sound.

Tickets will be on pre-sale for Barclaycard customers at 9am on Wednesday 11th December at www.barclaycardunwind.com. Previous fans of Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park and AEG Live can purchase their tickets from 9am on Thursday 12th December. Tickets are on general release from 9am on Friday 13th December.

McBusted caused hysteria selling out tickets in a heartbeat for their 2014 dates at The O2 Arena. McBusted is the coming together of two of the UK's biggest acts - Busted and McFly, who throughout their career have combined their winning, infectious pop and rock songs with their irresistible personalities and humour. Between them, they have an arsenal of hits to unleash, including Busted's 'Year 3000' and 'What I Go To School For' combined with McFly's 'Shine A `Light' and 'All About You'. McBusted's gig at Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park in 2014 will be the 10th anniversary of Busted's last ever gig in Hyde Park and the perfect setting for a pop super summit!

Busted sold out Wembley Arena a record-breaking ELEVEN times in one year, sold HALF A MILLION concert tickets in the UK in 2004, and had two albums go FOUR TIMES platinum in the UK alone.

The Backstreet Boys are one of the biggest selling boyband in the history of pop, rising to power in the mid 1990s and selling a staggering 130 million records around the world. They have enjoyed a career renaissance after reforming in 2012 and releasing a new album this year, whilst they will be touring the UK in March and April 2014. With the back up of mega hits like 'I Want It that Way', 'Quit Playing Games (With My Heart)' and 'Everybody' (Backstreet's Back), your summer of pop is in truly safe hands.

Over 10 days last July - during one of the UK's hottest Summers since records began - AEG Live and The Royal Parks presented the inaugural Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park, a totally unique and world-class event which entertained over 350,000 fans in London. Many witnessed some of their favourite artists play over back to back weekends in ticketed events including two nights from The Rolling Stones along with Nile Rogers & Chic, The 1975 and Jake Bugg. Again in 2014, each live music-packed weekend will be linked by a midweek programme of diverse entertainment, giving visitors the chance to get involved with smaller, more intimate events offering: film, music, literature and sport.

Also announced is the legendary Neil Young and Crazy Horse who will headline Saturday 12 July, alongside special guests, The National, Tom Odell, Caitlin Rose, Phosphorescent and Flyte. Considered one of the greatest songwriters ever, Neil Young has been one of the most influential artists of the rock age, both as a solo artist and part of the legendary Buffalo Springfield and not to mention Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young. Twice inducted in to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, his music ranges from the beautiful acoustic country of 'Heart of Gold' to the marauding rock of 'Down By The River.' Young's new album, 'Cellar Door', is out on December 11th.

AEG Live was awarded the 5 year contract to create this event in Hyde Park towards the end of last year. Since then, AEG has committed a multi-million pound investment to make Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park an experience unrivalled in London.

Following last year's inaugural event, Barclaycard present's British Summer Time Hyde Park was named Best Festival at the UK Event Awards and Best Use of New Technology at the UK Festival Awards.

Penny Boyd, Head of Events and Filming at The Royal Parks said:

"McBusted are the perfect family entertainers and we are excited to have them performing in Hyde Park.

We are very proud with what was achieved in 2013 and winning two industry awards in a first year is testament to the event's success.

Working with our partners AEG Live, we not only delivered a truly unique event for Central London, we also raised the bar in terms of sustainability, customer experience and service and local engagement. We are looking forward to building on that success and continuing the great work for 2014."
