Discover the fascinating stories behind three of London's most beloved green spaces on one of our Hidden Stories walking tours, pick up inspiration for seasonal recipes at our orchard and allotment open days, and get the little ones connecting with the natural world at our Halloween Discovery Days and Nature Roadshows. And if you feel like getting active then join one of our autumn tennis or padel courses at The Courts in Hyde Park, The Regent's Park and Greenwich Park.

Hidden Stories Walking Tours

Discover the natural beauty and rich history of Hyde Park, St. James's Park and Kensington Gardens on our guided walking tours

Join one of our volunteers to explore these stunning green spaces, including exclusive access to Duck Island in St. James's Park, the Pet Cemetery in Hyde Park and Albert Memorial in Kensington Gardens.

Brompton Cemetery Open Day & Storytelling Tour

Explore the fascinating Brompton Cemetery this September at the Friends of Brompton Cemetery Open Day on Sunday 6 September. There will be a wide range of activities, entertainment and refreshments stalls for both adults and children. 

You can also join us for a free, immersive family tour that will use props, costumes and storytelling to bring to life personalities of the people buried here including Emmeline Pankhurst, leader of the suffragettes, the pioneering Doctor John Snow, as well as the founder of Chelsea Football Club Gus Mears.

All the pre-bookable tickets are now gone but there will be a limited number of walk-up spots available on the day so make sure to head to The Royal Parks charity stand to secure yours!

Greenwich Orchard & Kensington Gardens Allotment Open Days

Join us in Greenwich Park's Orchard or Kensington Gardens Allotment on Sunday 12 September to celebrate food growing, gardening and the outdoors. 

Get inspiration for seasonal recipes and climate-resilient gardening, get creative with arts and crafts or simply just enjoy these beautiful areas of the parks.

Kids Go Free Boating

Start the new school term with an after school or weekend trip out on the water. This September*, kids go free when you book online in advance for boating at Hyde Park or The Regent’s Park.

Bat Walks

Join us to search for bats in the heart of London on this hour and a half guided tour. 

Be guided through Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park at night to search for bat species such as common pipistrelles, soprano pipistrelles and noctules.

Getting active this autumn

Take your game to the next level this autumn! Join us at The Courts for tennis and padel coaching in Hyde Park, The Regent's Park and Greenwich Park.

For adults, our six-week tennis and padel courses cater to all levels, from complete beginners to advanced players looking to refine their skills. You'll learn from LTA qualified coaches, build confidence and enjoy social sessions with players of a similar level.

Looking for something for the kids? Our junior tennis and padel courses and October Camps for ages 4-16 run after school, at weekends and during the school holidays, helping young players stay active, develop new skills and make friends.

Oysho Royal Parks Half Marathon 2026

Taking place on Sunday, 11 October 2026, the Oysho Royal Parks Half Marathon offers a stunning 13.1-mile route through four of London’s Royal Parks: Hyde Park, The Green Park, St. James’s Park, and Kensington Gardens, and past famous landmarks including Buckingham Palace, the Houses of Parliament, and the Royal Albert Hall.

Fancy taking on the challenge of one of the UK's most memorable half marathons? There are still places available to run for The Royal Parks charity. The registration deadline is Tuesday 1st September.

Frieze London & Frieze Masters

Frieze London & Frieze Masters return to The Regents Park from 14 - 18 October. The two fairs will be packed full of new curated sections and gallery debuts, spanning millennia of history and the next generation of artists. 

Taking place at the same time, the fairs together present almost 300 galleries from 48 countries and regions. Spanning six continents, the 2026 editions bring contemporary practice and art history into direct conversation through presentations grounded in research and expertise.

Discovery Days: Hair raising Halloween

Back by popular demand, our Discovery Days: Hair raising Halloween will be returning this October half-term! Come and join us at the Hyde Park Learning Centre for three days packed full of spooky crafts, stories, nature trails and more. 

This event is free and you are welcome to drop in, but if possible we do ask that you register so that we have an idea of numbers. The activities are suitable for the whole family to enjoy.
