Sports pitches
The Hub in The Regent's Park is the biggest outdoor sports area in central London.
We operate a seasonal sports programme with football, rugby and lacrosse in winter and cricket, softball and touch rugby during the summer.
Summer sports pitches
Season dates 23.04.25 - 24.08.25
All pitch usage and organised activity and events must be pre-booked.
If your group size exceeds 22 and/or a company sports days is planned please complete the company sports event enquiry form.

Cricket
- 4 x Cricket Pitches (FULLY BOOKED)
- 1 x Premium Cricket Pitch (FULLY BOOKED)
- 1 x Junior Cricket Pitch (Under 13s only) (FULLY BOOKED)
- 4 x Cricket Nets (online booking £15/hr)
Softball
- 19 x Softball Pitches (enquiries from 4 March) (FULLY BOOKED WEDNESDAYS & THURSDAYS)
Rounders
- 8 x Rounders Pitch (enquiries from 4 March) (FULLY BOOKED WEDNESDAYS & THURSDAYS)

Winter sports pitches
Season dates 06.09.25 - 29.03.26
There is no space for football within sight of The Hub between April – August.
Our winter season will recommence 6 September 2025 (enquiries from 05.08.25).
Email thehub@royalparks.org.uk to be added to our winter sports distribution list.
Informal play areas
We consider informal games as casual ‘jumpers for goalposts’ type activities. Company sports days and organised club training sessions are not considered informal. These activities always require permission and must be pre-booked.

Looking after our pitches
You may see pitches that are not being used but this does not mean they are free to play on. We regularly rest and carry out maintenance work on the sports pitches to ensure their high quality throughout the year.
As a charity it costs in excess of £250,000 per year for the upkeep of the sports pitches in The Regent’s Park and those using the facilities are asked to contribute to their upkeep by booking.
We do not make a profit from the charges so we ask you respect our policy of keeping off the sports pitches if you do not have a booking.
