Sports pitches
The Hub in The Regent's Park is the biggest outdoor sports area in central London.
We operate a seasonal sports programme with football, rugby and lacrosse in winter and cricket, softball and rounders during the summer.
Summer sports pitches
Season dates 22.04.26 - 28.08.26
All pitch usage and organised activity and events must be pre-booked.
If your group size exceeds 22 and/or a company sports day is planned please complete the company sports day form (available from 9:30am on 3 March).
Enquiries for softball, rounders and company sports days open 9:30am on 3 March.

Cricket
- 4x Cricket Pitches
- 1x Premium Cricket Pitch
- 1x Junior Cricket Pitch (Under 11s only)
- 4x Cricket Nets (online booking £15/hr)
Softball
- 19x Softball Pitches (enquiries from 3 March)
Rounders
- 8x Rounders Pitches (enquiries from 3 March)
Winter sports pitches
Season dates 06.09.25 - 29.03.26
We are now fully booked on our football and rugby pitches for the remainder of the season.
There is no space for football within sight of The Hub between April – August.

Informal play areas
We consider informal games as casual ‘jumpers for goalposts’ type activities. Company sports days and organised club training sessions are not considered informal. These activities always require permission and must be pre-booked.
Our summer sports and company event season resumes April 2026 with enquiries from Tuesday 24 February (cricket) and Tuesday 3 March (company sports days, rounders and softball).
There is no suitable, safe space for organised softball, rounders or company sports days during our winter sports season - September to March.
Looking after our pitches
You may see pitches that are not being used but this does not mean they are free to play on. We regularly rest and carry out maintenance work on the sports pitches to ensure their high quality throughout the year.
As a charity it costs in excess of £250,000 per year for the upkeep of the sports pitches in The Regent’s Park and those using the facilities are asked to contribute to their upkeep by booking.
We do not make a profit from the charges so we ask you respect our policy of keeping off the sports pitches if you do not have a booking.
