Music, Arts & Culture

As part of our exciting Artist in Residence project at Greenwich Park, the Royal Parks charity and leading art organisation, UP Projects are working with artist Leah Clements to deliver a series of ‘open studio’ sessions from February until June!

Drop by to meet the artist, explore the studio and see her current work, and learn what is coming next for the project. At each session, we’d also love to hear your stories and experiences of Greenwich Park.

How do I find St Mary’s Lodge?

  • The Artist Studio for this residency is being house in St Mary’s Lodge, within Greenwich Park.
  • St Mary’s Lodge is next to the Herb Garden, which is located close to the St Mary’s Gate entrance to the park. The lodge is a short distance from Greenwich Town Centre. The nearest bus stops are on Nelson Road or Romney Road (bus numbers: 129, 188, 199, 186 and 386).

Access Information

  • The nearest on-street parking (free to Blue Badge holders) is located on King William Walk or Nevada Street. Accessible parking bays are also located within the park, by the Pavilion Café (approximately 10 minutes walking distance uphill from St Mary’s Lodge).
  • There will be an audio description of the space available on headphones with a large armchair.
  • The garden is wheelchair accessible, with a path around the building. The building itself has level-floor access,
  • There is a wheelchair accessible toilet on site. The nearest Changing Places toilet is by the Vanbrugh Park Gate entrance to Greenwich Park.
  • Support animals including guide dogs are welcome. However, please be advised that non-support animals are not allowed at the event or in the Herb Garden.
  • More access information (including on door widths, seating and quiet areas) can be found on our Artist in Residence project page.
Leah, a white woman in her 30s, smiles and looks at the camera. Her dark blonde hair is tied up but loose and windswept. She is wearing a large black coat and gold earrings, behind her are rows of concrete pillars receding into the background, holding up a roof over a green body of water.
