London’s Royal Parks have been recognised as among the best in the UK, after they retained their Green Flag awards - the international quality mark for parks and green spaces.
The Royal Parks is urging visitors to Bushy and Richmond Parks to be extra vigilant and keep a minimum distance of 50metres away during the annual deer rut.
The Royal Parks charity is launching a campaign urging visitors to ‘Help Nature Thrive’ in some of the capital’s largest and busiest green spaces.
From Tuesday May 4 May until Monday 2 August 2021, dogs will be required to be on a lead in all areas of Richmond and Bushy Parks. This is to protect both deer and dogs during deer birthing season.
