Join us for a free, immersive family tour exploring the wonders of Brompton Cemetery

  • This lively introductory tour will use props, costumes and storytelling to bring to life personalities of the people buried here including Emmaline Pankhurst, leader of the suffragettes, the pioneering Doctor John Snow, as well as the founder of Chelsea Football Club Gus Mears.
  • Join Mary and Moira, both blue badge guides, to explore this incredible cemetery, where over 200,000 people lie in peace across spectacular memorials.
  • Meander along its avenues of stately lime trees where, among the wildflowers, you’ll spot an abundance of wildlife. Birds, butterflies, bats and beetles all call Brompton Cemetery home!

This tour is part of the wider Friends of Brompton Cemetery Open Day on Sunday 6 September, 11am-5pm, with a wide range of activities, entertainment and stalls for both children and adults.
